Terms of use

Last updated: January 2026. Written in plain English.

The service

ScholarshipHunter is a free, open-source aggregator of academic opportunities. Listings are sourced from third-party pages (university career sites, scholarship portals, RSS feeds) and are provided as-is, with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or continued availability.

No professional advice

Listings, summaries, and translations on ScholarshipHunter are not professional, academic, or legal advice. Always verify funding amounts, eligibility, and deadlines on the original posting on the institution's website before applying.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial research into academic opportunities. You may not scrape the site at volume, republish the listings in bulk, or use it to train commercial machine-learning models. The source registry is public; you are welcome to use it as a starting point for your own academic-opportunities work provided you credit ScholarshipHunter.

Intellectual property

Listings originate from third parties and remain the property of their respective publishers. The ScholarshipHunter code, database schema, and design are released under the MIT license. See the LICENSE file on GitHub.

Liability

ScholarshipHunter is provided on an as-is, best-effort basis. We do our best to keep listings accurate and sources healthy, but we cannot guarantee that any specific listing is current, funded, or open. We are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on information on this site.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the recent changes page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
